So over the Christmas holidays I gained about a stone in weight. This was due to both having a poor diet and binging on a lot of alcohol whilst out with friends and family. Once the holidays had ended and the new year began I decided to take on the USN Body Makeover Challenge. My aim was to improve my general lifestyle and not only lose weight but get in the best shape of my life. I have always enjoyed training but have never been motivated to diet and get a lean physique
I started the Challenge 4th January, the first day back in work with three main aims:
I put together a diet plan from using USN diet blogs plus also used the knowledge of friends that are into training.
I gave the challenge my full commitment. For the past 12 weeks I have done the following:
This challenge was one of the toughest things I have done however, I can honestly say it is also the best thing I have ever done. I feel more confident, healthier, happier and generally feel a 100 times better person than I was before.
The hardest part of the challenge was not having any alcohol for 12 weeks straight but I can now say that I did it! Not one drop and I feel great for it!
USN Provide great support via the FACEBOOK Group where this also helped keep me motivated!
I have learnt to eat in moderation and can say that I now 100% agree with the phrase – ‘failing to prepare is preparing to fail’. This can be applied to any part of my lifestyle whether it is cooking food the night before to planning what and where I am going to train that week.
The USN Body Makeover has changed me as person in such a positive way and I will continue this lifestyle as time goes on. I can openly say that I truly challenged myself and accomplished my goal!
